3D Time History of Particle Acceleration

3D Time History of Particle Acceleration – visualization of records of accelerations (the change in velocity per unit time) of vibrations of the medium over time in the three directions – X, Y, Z. The maximum positive and negative peak velocities along the three directions are also shown axes – Peak Particle Acceleration – PPA. These values are used to evaluate the degree of impact in cases where the norms limit the permissible PPA (eg when evaluating the applied inertial forces on structures, machines and the impact of vibrations on people). AVA software provides fast interactive movement and scaling of graphics. The vector values of the velocities in three planes – XY, XZ and YZ – are also displayed. In the presence of GPS signals, the recordings are synchronized in time using the UCT system. There is an option in AVA that provides time synchronization between recordings made by different velocigraphs. If desired by the user, 3D Time History of Particle Acceleration can be saved in DXF or tabular format. These accelerograms can be used to determine shear forces and internal stresses in structures through FEM (Finite Element Method) programs such as GEO5, SAP2000, ANSYS, etc.
